Professor Degiannakis was recognized as one of the world's top 2% scientists across all scientific fields in 2023. This was the fourth year in which he was included among the researchers with the highest impact worldwide.

Professor Degiannakis's research interests lie in energy finance, including oil-price modelling and forecasting, oil-trading strategies, oil ETFs, tradable volatility assets, and big-data analysis for energy finance; financial econometrics, including ultra-high-frequency modelling, ultra-high-frequency algorithmic trading, option pricing, and financial-market modelling; applied economics, including nowcasting and forecasting for macroeconomic policy; and market-risk management, including predictive models for market risk.

His research has received multiple scholarships and awards. He has more than 5,000 citations on Google Scholar and approximately 57,000 reads on ResearchGate. He evaluates research proposals for the European Research Council and serves as a reviewer for 50 high-profile international scientific journals.

Ioanna Keramidou is Associate Professor of Economic Theory and Policy in the Department of Economic and Regional Development at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. She holds a degree from the Department of Public Administration at Panteion University, a postgraduate diploma from its Institute of Regional Development, and a PhD from its Department of Urban and Regional Development.

Her research interests include institutional and historical macroeconomics, industrial economics, the economics of social policy, labour economics, and schools of economic thought. She has served as a Special Postgraduate Scholar and as a scholar of the State Scholarships Foundation. She has authored a substantial number of articles in academic journals and edited volumes.

Asimina Christoforou is an economist with a PhD from the Athens University of Economics and Business. Her academic and teaching work focuses on public economics, social capital, institutions, European economic integration, and regional development. She has taught at Panteion University, the Hellenic Open University, the Athens University of Economics and Business, the University of Crete, and Boğaziçi University.

She has contributed to Greek and European research projects and has held coordinating roles in international political-economy networks focusing on social capital and institutions. Her published work includes articles, books, and edited volumes on social capital, public policy, the social economy, and participatory local development.

Basiliki Bageri is a tenured Assistant Professor in the Department of Economic and Regional Development at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. She has taught as a contract lecturer at the Athens University of Economics and Business at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as at Panteion University.

She has worked as a researcher at the Athens University of Economics and Business and has participated in numerous European and international research projects. She also worked as an Economic Analyst at NERA Economic Consulting in Berlin from 2015 to 2017.

Grigoris Siourounis is an Assistant Professor of Economic Theory and Policy in the Department of Economic and Regional Development at Panteion University. He studied at the Athens University of Economics and Business, pursued postgraduate studies in economics and statistics at Iowa State University and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and earned his PhD in Economics from London Business School.

His research covers financial econometrics, risk measurement, and the behaviour of returns in high-frequency trading. He has published in international economics journals and received the European Economic Association's Young Economist Award in 2005 and the Royal Economic Society's Austin Robinson Prize in 2008. He also combines academic research with professional activity in financial technology and digital payments.
