Kyriaki Kafka

Kyriaki I. Kafka is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economic and Regional Development, School of Economics and Public Administration, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. She received her bachelor's degree, two master's degrees, and her PhD from the Department of Economics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), where she also completed her postdoctoral research. She has served as Assistant Professor of Economic Analysis and Policy at the School of Social Sciences, Hellenic Open University, as well as Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, NKUA. In addition, she teaches in postgraduate programmes, is a trainer in distance-learning courses, and has been a Scientific Associate at NKUA since 2011.

Her research has been published in leading peer-reviewed international journals, including the Journal of Comparative Economics, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Journal of Business Research, Economies, Journal of the Knowledge Economy, Journal of Innovation and Knowledge, and Sustainability. She has authored monographs and books published by international and Greek publishers, including Palgrave Macmillan, Papazisis, Ropi, and Quaestor, as well as book chapters in edited volumes published by major international academic publishers, including Palgrave Macmillan, Edward Elgar, Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group, IntechOpen, IGI Global, and the European Social Survey. Her research has received more than 530 citations according to Google Scholar.

She has participated in research projects as a member of research teams, including Horizon Europe projects and national research programmes. She serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of the Knowledge Economy and the Journal of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, as Guest Editor for special issues of academic journals, and as a member of the editorial boards of several scientific journals.
